My daughter was born in early September, 2008. She's never been vaccinated. I never produced enough milk for her on my own, but continued nursing her while supplementing with both raw goat milk and donated breast milk. She's 3 1/2 and we're still nursing a couple of times a day. (Now it's easier to find donated breast milk and I'd look at the Weston A Price Foundation recipe for infant 'formula' as the goat milk constipated her a bit.)
She's been only mildly sick 3 times in her life and I wonder if she was reacting to something that I didn't know about like teething back teeth. Sometimes while holding her as she fell asleep, I'd think, "Does she have a fever?". The couple of times I checked, she didn't, so it was just sleep warmth.
When she was 2 1/2, a dog 'bit' her on the forehead. It was a gash, not a puncture and there was a lot of bleeding. We went to the ER and got 7 stitches. The next day, before administering her prescribed antibiotics, I called our naturopath to get a 2nd opinion. I got an appointment for the next day. Our doctor evaluated the situation, told me what to watch for regarding infection, and we decided against the antibiotics. No problem ever arose.
She does not get earaches, colds, runny noses, tummy aches, or much of anything. Sometimes she has a bad dream. She gets a lot of bruises and scrapes playing outside. Dirt under her nails from "working" in the garden. She breaks out in smiles a lot.
