On 28.04.08 FSME vaccination + formic acid (against hay fever – I can highly recommend it!!) 1st day after the vaccination (the first FSME one in my life), 1x sharp pain in my head accompanied by dizziness and cribbling from head to foot on both sides, after approx. 5 everything was over. Emergency room again, blood work, all the numbers okay, and doctors clueless 4 hours later. The recommendation was for me to see a neurologist.
After this incident I had them give me my papers and I left the hospital immediately. I have now been given homeopathic medication which is supposed to help … it has not helped so far. Presently: left side-arm-+leg-\"feeling of paralysis\". Frequently I think I am going to trip over my own foot. Left arm very heavy. But I walk normally and from the outside nothing unusual … |

Last week I was vaccinated against FSME and Hepatitis a+b. The next day I had an elevated temperature between 37.5 and 38, joint pain, tension in my neck, fatigue, nausea, a painful swelling at the site of injection against FSME. The same day I went to the doctor and he said that it had nothing to do with the vaccination and that I had an infection. The site was not dramatic and they rubbed cream on it. Yesterday I went to the doctor again. The site of injection is still swollen. The doctor thinks that I have an allergy against the FSME vaccine and that the swelling could last for up to four weeks. Since yesterday the arm I got the vaccine in is tingling and my fingers feel numb. When I called the doctor he said it had nothing to do with the vaccination and that it was a neurological problem. Of course!

I was vaccinated against FSME on 14.04.08. That evening my arm hurt a lot. The next morning my arm continued to hurt and I was unable to lift it – I thought that was normal at the time. But the same evening I had really bad pains in my joints, in my feet, my back and arms and I had stomach cramps. The next morning, however the pain was gone, only the arm still hurt. All day long I kept feeling sick to my stomach. Today the arm I got the vaccination in felt numb, but the tips of my fingers I hope that that was the end of it and that things will not get worse again, like with the other cases. |

After FSME vaccination with Encepur f. adults there was numbness in my right leg after approx. 6 days. After 6 more days (on day 12) I could not walk on account of pain in my leg. The main nerve (which is responsible for lifting the leg- Femoralis) did not work at all. I can no longer walk. The ascending feeling of numbness stops at my belly button. Permanent damage: Paralysis of the right leg |

FSME Ticovac Nr. 370100AB 0,5 ml Baxter |
I was vaccinated on the after noon of 12.07.2000. During the night I developed a high fever, 39.9C, developed a chill so bad my teeth were clattering. Extreme pain in my muscles and joints of the lower extremities, back pain, pain when touched and the feeling that my lower extremities were dying off (coldness). In addition I had a headache, dizziness, circulatory collapse. During the night I developed a high fever 39.9. The fever didn’t go down until the early morning hours. The pain in my muscles and joints improved but they remained for weeks. Until 31.7. I felt pressure in my head. I informed the doctor by phone on 13.07. the doctor who had administered the vaccination. He did not seem very impressed and stated arrogantly that he had been awakened during the night because of side effects several times. Even though I had asked about the side effects the vaccine was described as being easy to tolerate, even though warnings had already been issued by the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut. I did not consult the doctor again and got in touch with Baxter directly and reported the vaccination incident (Proc.-No. 00V-20-2741 dated 09.08.2000) reported to Baxter on 24.07.2000 by telephone. I felt bad for weeks but did not think that the problems had anything to do with the vaccination. I have become disabled on account of a number of illness. |

FSME IMMUN ADULT |
My husband, my two children and I had FSME vaccinations on 08.05.2007. Why? The media played a big role. We also have a dog with whom we take longs walks in the forest and this year we vacationed in an area which was said to be at risk for ticks. After the first vaccination everything was fine. On 17.07.2007 we all had our second vaccination. My husband and my children were fine. I was too, but after a week I came down with a cold and a sore throat and respiratory problems. I was treated by my doctor for difficulties breathing and I thought it was just a really bad cold. In the course of the next weeks I did not feel much better and developed a tickly feeling in my face accompanied by numbness in my nose and cheeks and lips and front teeth, which was accompanied by dizziness, pressure in my head, headache. My whole face actually felt like it was compressed and the respiratory problems weren’t getting any better, either. I was really listless and had no appetite, while at the same time I had bad heart burn even though I wasn’t even eating. I didn’t even suspect that it could have been from the vaccination. I went to the dentist’s as I assumed that it could have something to do with the teeth, an infection or something like that – but everything was fine. So I went to the ear nose and throat specialist, everything fine. But for the first time I mentioned the vaccination. The doctor said the side effects could have stemmed from the vaccine and he prescribed Nasonex and Vitamin B. Due to the respiratory problems the lung specialist gave me a prescription for asthma spray. Four weeks later the symptoms were somewhat better. I thought it was finally over but now everything got worse. The pressure in my head, I got herpes several times and gastritis and when I told my family doctor she reported the vaccination as a vaccine damage and said that I had developed a weakened immune system as a result of the vaccination, so I added zinc to the Vitamin B tablets. As a precautionary measure she sent me to the neurologist’s, and I had an MRT done. Everything fine. The vaccination was about 6 months ago and one doctor suggested that I could have histamine intolerance so that I have stopped eating various food items. I continue to take Vitamin B tablets, homeopathic remedies for the histamine intolerance and tablets to improve my intestinal flora to strengthen my immune system and I must say that I feel better every day. I am beginning to hope that the tingling, the pressure, the pain and the dizziness could finally be over and I am feeling like my former strength is returning. I went bike riding, which I haven’t done for 6 months due to the dizziness. I don’t know if the histamine intolerance was caused by the vaccination, but my gut reaction is yes. Due to the side effects the rest of my family has not had any more vaccinations and we now prefer to use Autan. |

Encepur(FSME) |
On 07.04.2005 my husband and I and our children were vaccinated against FSME. We wanted to vacation in Bavaria. We did it on the advice of the pediatrician I cannot say at what point the first reaction occurred for me since it is such a long time ago. At any rate the second and the third vaccinations were not administered as I was having such dizzy spells and heart palpitations. The pediatrician was not able to with certainty that it was due to the vaccination. At any rate she recommended that I not have the next vaccinations. Since then I suffer from constant drowsiness, dizziness, joint pains (especially at the nape of my neck), paresthesia, tingling, feelings of numbness. The past three years I have consulted all kinds of doctors. No findings. In the meantime I have become convinced that it is all due to the vaccination. Sometimes it is so bad that I have lost all courage to live. Then there are faces where I tell myself that life goes on. For the sake of my family. The worst part is that doctors keep telling me the same thing. They say that it is probably psychosomatic. I underwent therapy, too. The therapist concluded the sessions because she was of the opinion that everything is fine. My psyche probably does play a role sometimes. It really is bad when you do not trust yourself. There is no one I can turn to even though I keep running to the doctors all the time. I am so stressed out that I have been loosing hair. When I found this site I realized that it cannot be a coincidence that there are so many cases. Don’t give up! I won’t either. Maybe the vaccine will diminish some day and then things will look up again. I am going to consult a naturopath. Maybe he will be able to give me hope. |

FSME / Encepur |
In the summer of 2003 my doctor recommended that I have an FSME vaccination and I followed his recommendation. A few weeks after the vaccination the pain in my left upper arm started. It wasn’t very severe at first and they even disappeared periodically again. In late summer of 2004 the pain was so bad that I went to seek treatment. The doctor said that the pain came from my shoulder and prescribed physiotherapy. During the physiotherapy the pain became unbearable, neuralgia in my left arm from my shoulder to my wrist, including paralysis. During this time I became aware of the time overlap of the vaccination and the onset of my problems. At the same time I remembered that I had read an article about nosodes as an antidote to vaccination damage. I approached a doctor who was also a homeopath and she prescribed FSME nosodes, a homeopathic remedy in the form of globules A few hours after I had taken the first 5 I felt considerably better, a few days later I was without symptoms. After a few months the pain returned and after taking a few of the nosodes it disappeared again. In the fall of 2007 the pain suddenly started in the right arm and again the nosodes helped. Presently I have slight pain again so I will be taking the globules. Conclusion: the vaccination damage does not seem to have been healed but with the help of homeopathy it can be treated well. |

Initial vaccination on 28.2.07 in my right arm. Strong reaction which I ignored. Second vaccination on 9.3.07 in my buttocks which made the pain in my arm worse. For months I had pains in my right arm, in my shoulder, a stiff neck. I was sent to the neurologist who said that everything was fine and that there was no connection to the vaccination. I was made to feel stupid. The neurologist said that I had taken on a protective stance after the vaccination and that my spine was probably not okay. I then had manual therapy which did not make my condition any better. In December 07 the pain got much worse and was joined by a strange kind of burning in the upper part of my left arm. At night I had palpitations and sometimes panic attacks. In February I had an appointment to have a CATSCAN done of my neck but there were no findings. The family doctor is helpless. Sometimes he prescribes pain killers, sometimes physiotherapy. He thinks it is impossible that I have vaccination damage. I am now having consultations with a naturopath and I hope she will be able to help me. Before I had the vaccination I never had these kinds of problems with my joints. I worked out twice a week. I now feel like an old woman, completely at a standstill with a lot of pain and no joy. I sure hope it will change at some point. |

Hepatitis Apr. 16,2007/ FSME I Apr.16,2007/ FSME II May 24,2007 |
I was very active. I ran every day or I rode my bike. Made me feel really good! On May 25, 2007 I did not feel well at all (signs of a stroke, tingling in my left leg and fingers and pain s in my left arm and in my shoulder, fuzzy mouth, eyes wide-open and panicky, panic attack, high blood pressure). My husband called our doctor and he came and gave me a shot and told me to go see a radiologist. There they examined my brain. Everything was fine But I didn’t feel well at all, I couldn’t stand being alone, had hot flashes, cold sweat, headache, nausea, palpitations, was afraid to fall asleep because I thought I’d have sleep apnea, I lost a lot of hair and took zink for it. My dizziness forced me to stop my athletic activities. I felt like I had taken drugs. I’m still afraid to drive my car alone as the dizziness has not receded yet. My doctor keeps telling me that I am persuading myself all this is true and that I should go see a psychologist and talk to him about my angst. I kept pointing out to her that I had had the vaccination, but she was not willing to accept it!!! Yet I told her that I knew my own body better than she did and that I never took medicine. Of course my doctor didn’t like this. My health did not get any better so that I was examined by a number of doctors. During the ultrasound examination my doctor discovered a cyst on the left kidney. My thyroid and the other organs were fine!!! (Eye doctor, ear doctor, mammlography, gynecologist, neurologist, dentist). Nobody could find anything. On September 17, 2007 I was feeling really poorly again and I decided that I wanted to go to a hospital to find out what was going on with my body. We went to our doctor and told her that I wanted to be sent to a hospital to find out what was going on. The doctor was not very nice about it and kept insisting that I needed to see a psychologist. They examined me from head to foot at the hospital and didn’t find anything, either, except for the fact that I did not really have a cyst on my left kidney. Of course that was good news! I changed doctors in 2008 and started taking herbal remedies. I try to take walks again, but I don’t walk alone. I only drive when I am with my husband and we refuse to be vaccinated. And we do not hesitate switching doctors. It is sad to be the victim of a wrong diagnosis! That is how far things have come!!! |

FSME-Immun |
In June 2007 I was vaccinated against FSME for the first time. I thought it would be a good idea because I live in a risk area and there was a lot of advertising about it this year. The vaccination only gave me circulation problems, but in general I felt really fit and athletic. 3 days after the vaccination the following complaints started: nerve pain in my face, especially on the left side (vaccination arm) and in my jaws and ears, in my neck, pressure in my head, paraesthesia, nausea, cramps, stomach ache, dizziness, muscle cramps/pain/twitches, fatigue, blurry vision, sensitivity to noise and light, tinnitus in my left ear, sore throat with reddening, swollen starke Müdigkeit, seltsame Optik, Geräusch-und jaws, swollen lympth nodes, fast pulse and high blood pressure, respiratory problems, heavy legs. Blood work done by my doctor inconclusive. 2-3 weeks later the bad pain disappeared somewhat, but the dizziness, the pressure in my head and the pain remained. 10 weeks after the vaccination I regressed again, was dizzy, felt sick, restless, had palpitations, electric feelings (primarily in my head – as if something was shooting through my head), strong muscle twitches when falling asleep, insomnia, panic, slight incontinence, trouble swallowing, problems chewing and swallowing, etc. (also the problems listed above). More blood work and an appointment at a neurologist’s (who thought that the symptoms were not typical for FSME vaccinations) who only tested my reflexes, did not lead to a finding. My earn, nose and throat doctor and orthodontist recommended that I have a CT done. It was also inconclusive. 2-3 weeks later I felt much better. And during the next 6-8 weeks I felt better and better. I only had slight pain off and on, slight dizziness and tinnitus and was not very resilient…especially I had to exert myself. I was beginning to believe that it was over, when suddenly I started having stomach problems. The doctor gave me medication for gastritis. The stomach problems got better but the old problems started up again, accompanied by new symptoms: Pain in my fingers, tendons, tingling in my arms and legs, strange temperature sensations (suddenly I get the shivers and then hot again) burning sensation on various parts of my body, my joints fall asleep fast, the complaints listed above have now spread to the right side of my body, I have problems with my eyes (tired eyes, pain, quivering in my right eyelid, I feel like my bisio is not as good, slight vision impairments in the form of black dots), my urticaria of which I had had only light case has gotten worse. I panicked and thought that I had gotte MS. They did an MRT of my head and of my back, which both were normal. A different neurologist tested my reflexes and did some tests and an EEG. There was not much of a result here either and the neurologist said he was 99.9% certain that my problems were psychosomatic and that he would not recommend having a liquor puncture. My condition improved slightly, but kept going back and forther. Other doctor visits were inconclusive. My condition started getting better around Christmas (in particular my general condition, I no longer had the malaise) but two weeks later I felt really sick again, which could have been due to a cold. Now I am feeling somewhat okay, but I still am far from the way I felt before (pain in my neck, head and eyes), dizziness, fast pulse. I go to a Chinese naturopath who makes Chinese medicine (Chinese tea that strengthens your immune system, acupuncture, energy massage) and physiotherapy (manual therapy). I would heartily recommend this to everyone as help cannot be expected from mainstream medicine. Either they say you have psychological problems or the doctor thinks that it was all a reaction to the vaccination but doesn’t know what to do about it. I’ll wait and see and hope that it gets better and not worse. I can be found in the forum Lola83 and would be happy to hear from you. |

FSME/Encepur |
2nd FSME vaccination with Encepur in June 2007. Approx. 3 weeks later pain in the upper part of my body, like little electric shocks (from the nerve endings). Several doctors visits with various specialists. About 4 weeks later feelings of paralysis and pains in my legs, climbing stairs was like torture. At the same time pain in the nape of my neck, especially when I got up in the morning and pain in my left arm. After a complete exam at the hospital that included blood work, X-rays, urine and stool samples, gastroscopy and colonoscopy other exams with various doctors who said it was all a figment of my imagination and psychosomatic. What was so strange was that it had not even occurred to me that it could have been the vaccination because vaccinations had never caused any pain and I had not even realized that vaccinations could be the cause. Because the mainstream medical specialists couldn’t find anything I went and saw a homeopath who asked me if I had had a vaccination. The first doctor I had described my convulsions and nerve disorders had giving me antibiotics as he assumed that I had a bladder infection. But that weakened my immune system that the pain got even worse. I also got herpes (which happens every 5 years) which is another sign of a weakened immune system. The homeopath prescribed Rephalysin C which improved my immune system. Today I am feeling better again, I only have slight pain in my left arm. But I have been reading a lot about vaccinations and I realized that I mjust say that a lot of lobbying is being done by the pharmaceutical industry. I also heard of two other cases and I have gotten in touch with these people. They experienced similar thing. I don’t want to say that every vaccination is damaging but when you have gone through something the way I did and no one believes you it can be pretty depressing. So I would get a vaccination if there is no other alternative and be sure that your immune system is in good shape and that it is not weakened by disease. I hope this will help someone. |

FSME vaccine |
In 1985 I was vaccinated against FSME and because I take a lot of walks in the forest I thought it was a good idea. After the second vaccination I had 38.5 fever for half a year. After these 6 months I kept being dizzy. They examined me several times, but didn’t find anything. I was even in the psychiatric ward to I had been having depression. Moreover the left side of my body feels differently than the right side of my body as if both halves were not part of the same whole. Pain killer, like at the dentist’s, do not work on the left side of my body, or only faintly. When I wanted to report what damage the vaccination had caused a very well-known medical person told me that it was not possible to have an FSME vaccination cause problems. Whatever. My life became torture for years as a result of the health impairments described above. |

1st vaccination: pain, hardening of the injection site, increased temperature, pains in my joints. 2nd vaccination: pain, hardening at the injection site, depressions, recurring dizziness and imbalance during the following months, 3rd vaccination: pain at the injection site, stiff neck and pain on the same side, inability to move left neck muscles, cramping and pain in the surrounding muscles, cramping and pain of the left shoulder muscles, pain in the upper part of vaccination arm, stinging pain in the nerves and tendons of the left arm which go as far as my fingers, rheumatic pain in my arm joints of the left arm. I can only tolerate the pain if I hold my arm up. I have ringing in the ear on the side I was vaccinated on. After an interruption and improvement for a number of days the back and pain and neck pain return 19 days after the vaccination and have become worse. The pain is so bad I have a hard time concentrating and it is also difficult to sleep; pain medication hardly helps at all. |

After there had been what seemed like a real invocation to get TBE vaccinations in Germany this year, my husband, my son (10 years old) and I decided to follow this call and be vaccinated. We all tolerated the first vaccination relatively well. After the second vaccination my husband had joint pain approx. 2 days later. In the following days his condition got worse and so he consulted the doctor. The doctor was unable to see a connection to the vaccination even though my husband pointed it out. He said that he had never seen those kinds of problems. So there was blood work, etc, no Borreliosis, no rheumatic factors, everything seemed normal except for slightly elevated yersinias (which can have to do with the joints). He got antibiotics but nothing got better. He was sent to see a rheumatologist. My husband mentioned that he had been vaccinated but the rheumatologist didn’t think that these were adverse effects or even vaccine damage. He did further blood work, bone scans, etc. My husband is doing really badly, sometimes he cannot even move. The findings are inconcusive, the inflammation value is high, everything else is normal. The rheumatologist tells him to take Diclac but it does not help, so he gets Prednisolon, too. A few days later he feels better, it is now August. Now the Prednisolon is to be phased out, but the pain comes back immediately. So opioids are administered, no improvement. My husband is almost unable to get out of bed. During a TV program on the subject of rheumatic illnesses I tune into the chat and ask a professor of Rheumatology if there is such a thing as reactive arthritis (that is what the diagnosis is) triggered by TBE vaccinations. He says maybe (i.e. YES). And now I have gotten other opinions by doctors who say a vaccination can trigger something like this because the whole immune system has collapsed. We never knew that something like this can happen! My husband is undergoing a baseline therapy and is getting Prednisolon unfortunately he cannot do without Diclac. I informed our health care provider and asked them for information (beware of TBE vaccinations) but a healthcare provider is not allowed to do that, but they took note of it, especially because the treatment is going to cost them a lot of money. This morning I called the manufacturer of the vaccine (they did not answer my emails). I wanted to report the vaccine damage …. But … vaccine damages may only be reported by doctors! But what if the doctor does not believe that it is a vaccine damage? We are all not going to have a third vaccination; my husband isn’t even allowed to be vaccinated against the flu. I was very disappointed about the reaction of Novartis; they were not interested at all. We would be pleased to be able to get in touch with people who have had similar experiences; maybe the media might even react. We are going to continue to pursue this! |

TBE Immun and Encepur |
Hi, in April 2007 I was vaccinated with Immun, 3 weeks later with Encepur. 14 days later I took a well-deserved vacation. On the first day of our vacation my husband noticed that my left eye did not close, I myself did not think anything of it. The next day I noticed a weird feeling on the left side of my face and on the third day my complete left side of my face was paralyzed. I had a lot of pain and was very sensitive to noise on that side of my head. And strangely enough everything tasted sweet. Because we were afraid that it could have been a stroke we went to the next university clinic. I was checked “extensively” in the hallway. When they asked me whether I had been administered a TBE vaccination I said yes, but they did not comment. They let me go again without any pain medication and I sure didn’t know where I was going to get the cortisone they prescribed at 2 am on a Saturday morning. My husband went to see the emergency doctor on Sonday. That Monday I had to go to the university clinic to have the nerves in my face tested and they told me had a really bad case of Facial paralysis. They told me to come again a week later to measure the nerves again and they said I probably had a good prognosis and that the treatment was finished. I kept taking my meds, lots of pain medication, had physiotherapy and logopedic therapy and went to all of my appointments. Of course I read the internet, too, and the package insert for the TBE vaccination. And it said that TBE vaccinations can cause peripheral and central nerve inflammations. When I asked my family doctor he checked it out immediately and had my suspicion, that it could be vaccine damage, confirmed by a specialist. My disease was categorized as being vaccine damage and I was sure lucky that my family doctor was so supportive. Now almost 6 months later I have the result that it the healing was defective. I have permanent atypical facial pain, a chronically stiff neck, as that is where the nerve originates, and I take high doses of pain medication. Some things have gotten better but I will never get back the original condition of my face. Everybody says that they think I look good but they don’t see the little things. Nobody sees the pain, either. But I am lucky in that my doctor supports me. I would like to tell you all to report the damages and look for a doctor who supports you, because the companies deny that there are any side effects and they find all sorts of reasons for the damage. |

But due to the fact that two months have passed without my getting better I have decided to consult the doctor. I also feel very tired and have no energy (general malaise); both events could be due to the vaccination. |

After my second TBE vaccination I had cribbling and itchiness all over my body and when I scratched myself (arms, chest, back, legs) the areas swell up considerably. Frightening. Only the fact that I am disciplined keeps me from scratching myself until it bleeds - that is how bad the itchiness is. It comes every day and disappears again and is very unpleasant. I can also report that arms, legs and certain joints feel numb. And after having discovered that there are other people who suffer from vaccine damage I will not have any further TBE vaccinations, will contact my family doctor and also go and see the doctor where I work because he treats patients homeopathically. He gave me hope that it would get better. |

21 days after her third TBE vaccination our daughter came down with a really bad headache. The pain got worse and worse, especially when she moved a certain way, then there was meningism and vomiting. The family doctor said it could be meningitis but not as a reaction to the vaccination. He said the vaccination was too far back and if there was a reaction to vaccinations they occur earlier on. 5 days later, during which she had the most severe headache, I brought our daughter to the hospital where they did an MRI to make sure it was not a brain tumor (the daughters did not think the symptoms for meningitis were cleaer enough) and checked her spinal fluid; the diagnosis was meningitis. They could not say what the cause was for the viral meningitis. But for us the connection between the 3rd vaccination and the disease is clear. Our daughter has not completely recovered after three weeks, the headache returns if her exertion is too great. |

Bad headaches. Cribbly and numb hands on both sides, worse on the right side. Muscle cramps in the upper part of her legs and toes frequently and at irregular intervals during the day. Sweating after the slightest exertion. Bad muscle and bone pain in the bck and the arms and legs. No energy! It all lasts three months now and the reactions are getting worse. My health and athletic status before the vaccination: athlete – bike riding, mountain climing, skiing, fitness – several times a week and always for several hours – power and endurance always there and available! That is why my lack of energy and the cramps make me so insecure. I have been seeing an internist who has the figures that are from the last check up and cancer screening. I hope they won’t say it is all in my imagination. I hope that my internist will support me in getting better. I will also approach my framily doctor and ask him for a vaccine damage report. I also hope that my healthcare provider, Techniker Krankenkasse, will support me and lastly I will then have to rely on the support of the company doctor. |

Vaccination on 16.04.2007 and on 24.05.2007! Afterwards high fever and lost a lot of hair, lost 15 kg, also because I worked out a lot. Now I have discontinued the sport and regained 5 kg again because I am so dizzy. My blood pressure is acting up, too. So I have to take Bisomerk 10 mg every day, Ramipril 10 mg and amiodigin 5 mg or carmen 5 mg! First I thought I would not be able to tolerate the medication because I have never taken medication before. Or because I am in menopause (44 )! |

On 4.April I had my 3rd vaccination and that is when the problems started. I got dizzy from one minute to the next and I had brain fog (cannot describe it any differently). When I looked at something intently it got worse. Each time I thought I was going to collapse. Headaches in the form of pressure and constant dizziness are now my companions. Concentration and resilience have diminished a lot. Just like with the others in this forum no one belives me that this could have something to do with vaccinations. Neurological tests, blood work, MRI of my head, all okay. I am desperate. They act like I am crazy. There is medication for everything … and now this! I only had the vaccination because we live in an area where there are a lot of ticks. |

On 13.04.2007 I was vaccinated against TBE the third time. During the following weeks I had pains in my muscles which led to paralysis in my left side on the 8th day. I also had palpitations, intestinal problems and hot flashes. I was brought to the hospital on 21.04 because they thought I had had a heart attack. They observed me for 24 hours and did a stress ECG but they did not find anything and four days later they sent me home again. The doctor prescribed BETABLOCKERS for my heart. The paralysis was thought to be psychological. I really started to believe that I had a psychological problem. I sent my kids to my mother for the weekend a couple weeks later and went to the ocean with my husband to relax. IT DID NOT GET BETTER. When I was home again I was so afraid of myself and my so-called psychological problems that I asked my husband to take me to the psychiatric ward at the hospital. They examined me for 3 days and said I had a lot of stress with my 2 little children. I was then sent to an orthopedica specialist to have my neck checked, they said that slipped discs can cause these kinds of problems. So I had x-rays done, it was a blockade and they worked on my neck and I had manual therapy. I’m still not doing better .... they then sent me to a cardiologist, stress ECG, 72-hour ECG. Nothing! I don’t know how I am going to go on. I get to go to a rehab clinic with my child for 4 weeks. I’m looking forward to it but I don’t think it is going to help. |

I had a total of 3 TBE vaccinations. While I had no problems with the first two, the third one caused severe cramps. In the course of the next year I kept having new problems of all different nature. Now, 20 years later, a lot has improved but I am still not free of pain. At the time I consuled a lot of doctors but most of them allegedly had never heard of vaccine damage and I myself was also absolutely clueless concerning TBE vaccinations. Approx 3 years later I happened to read in a magazine that tick vaccinations can case huge problems and today I am convinced that there is a huge criminal conspiracy out there made up of politics, pharmaceutical industry. I have tried pointing this out to the media but neither television nor the press was interested in reporting about it. |

On 21.06. 2007 my mother received a TBE vaccination. On the afternoon of 22.06.2007 she felt very sick to her stomach when she was out and about with her husband. At 17.30 she no longer reacted and they called an ambulance which brought her to the hospital. There they diagnosed a case of encephalitis after a few days and other diagnoses. She was unable to speak; her speech was very slurred, which was impossible to understand. She kept touching her head. She got infusions, a catheter, intubation and anti-epileptica. They couldn’t find anything in her spinal fluid and thus the doctors did not specify or diagnose that it was vaccine damage. In the neurological ward they tried out 4-5 different anti-epileptic medications but she did not react to them. She kept trying to remove the stomach tubes, infusions, catheter, etc. even though she was otherwise not reacting to things. She did not eat and she did not drink. They had a hard time finding her veins to give her infusions for water. Only once in a while did one have the impression that she was noticing things. She denied everything. On 19.07.2007 it got so bad that she had impaired breathing and they wanted to subject her to the intensive care ward again which we denied which was respected by the doctors. As of Friday 20.07.2007 she was also treated homeopathically. On 24.07.2007 she could sit upright in bed again and wanted a sandwich and a beer. She really did eat the sandwich and tolerated it really well. Since then she has been getting better and better every day. Today, on 07.08.2007 she starts rehabilitation treatment so that she can learn to walk again because of course she was very weak due to the fact that she did not eat for 5 weeks. |

In 2001, after the third installment of my vaccination, I came down with neuritis which brought with it the following problems: cribbling and burning sensation on various parts of my body, particularly in my face and on my head, muscle twitching and muscle pain, bad pain in my shoulders. During the night after I received the vaccination I felt cribbling and burning sensation on my head and these very painful paraesthesias spread all over my body within a short period of time. During the following months I had more and more afflictions. A neurologist confirmed that it was a small fiber neuropathy which was caused by the vaccination but that it would be impossible to prove and that there was no real therapy and no certainty whether the problems would go away again. I did not receive any compensation from the government. My pain was referred to as “imaginary” by the authorities. |

TBE vaccination: Encepur |
I am a pharmacist and I had a TBE vaccination in June 2006 because I was planning to travel in Bavaria and Austria. On the fourth day after the vaccination I had a severe vaccination reaction with various symptoms that lasted for four weeks: severe burning headache, numbness and cribbling in my face, problems with my eyes (dry and burning), muscle pain, rigid neck, and cribbling in my head and in my joints, heavy eye lids, weakness and dizziness. There followed a period during which I only had problems with my eyes and occasional cribbling. A neurologist tested my reflexes and because they were okay he categorized my symptoms as “probably psychosomatic in nature”. I got in touch with the manufacturer of the vaccine who reported my vaccination reaction and sent me a letter which was basically inconclusive but which advised that I should not have a further vaccination! I myself did not want to have another vaccination anyway. The adverse effects made me shy away. The following weeks I had problems only with my eyes and thought that the adverse effects had subsided. But with no due cause I suddenly had muscle pain in the upper part of my legs, and a feeling of pressure in my head, the way I experienced it the days following the vaccination. The following days it got really bad: severe headache, feeling of pressure in my eyes, eyelids swollen, paresthesia in my joints and drowsiness. These discomforts have really made me afraid and given me a feeling of uncertainty regarding damage or disease. It was impossible to get an appointment with the neurologist on a short-term notice (three months!), so that I checked into the hospital as an emergency and had a spinal puncture - - CT of my head!- blood work. Everything was fine. They could not find the reason for my discomforts. They were very nice and said that some people had severe reactions to TBE vaccinations and said I should see a good neurologist or internist. I consulted an eye doctor who checked my eyes but had no findings. After that I went to the doctor who had administered the vaccination and he said it was my psyche that was causing the problems. After weeks of continuing problems I went to see an internist who took me serious and said that it was probably an immunological reaction that would subside only very slowly. It would be impossible to say how long it would last. At least that calmed me down and I learned to live with my problems. But in the following months there were other aspects. There were additional symptoms: numb fingers and toes, my ears getting red and hot and cribbling, nerve pain in my face, cramped toes and calves, itchy skin, backaches, muscle twitches all over my body. Further neurological tests did not lead to diagnostic findings. So now I have turned to the internet and have gotten in touch with people who have also experienced TBE vaccination reactions – they all have more or less the same symptoms and it is impossible to give a diagnosis. There is only one person where there was a diagnosis of eye muscle paralysis and assigned the symptoms to an immunological reaction. Some of my discomforts have gotten better in the meantime but others continue to last. Conclusion: The manufacturer acts like he is clueless, doctors do not know of the effects of the vaccination (at best they know about immunological reactions) and frequently they do not report these reactions and classify them as psychological symptoms. My professional guild (pharmacists) also does not know anything about these effects – we know that this vaccination can trigger severe adverse effects but they do not know that these can last for months or years. I have worked as a pharmacist for many years and I have always backed the pharmaceutical industry. That is why I turned to the manufacturer of the vaccine and I was severely disappointed by him. Despite the adverse effects they did not even recommend that I refrain from having the next vaccinations. I can hardly imagine that these long-term adverse effects are not known to the manufacturer. I would like to thank the person who is responsible for this site for giving me the opportunity of getting in touch with other people who have been damaged by vaccinations. |

When he was 8 years old my son was vaccinated against ticks at school. 7 days later he had strange convulsions. A few weeks later he started collapsing. 4 weeks later we had the diagnosis: SSPE. Maybe it is a coincidence, but when he was a baby and had a 3-fold combination vaccination he came down with a severe case of neurodermatitis which he has had to today. He had the measles when he was a very little baby, before he had received the measles vaccination. Today he is 11 years old and surprisingly he has recovered almost completely, thank God. When SSPE was at its worse he was in a wheelchair and suffering seizures every few seconds. Now he rides his bike and goes to school. |

11 June 2007 1.partial vaccination 13.June 2007 First symptoms dizziness and headache. I did not think anything of it. Happens sometimes. 14.June 2007 Blood pressure rose, headache so that I decided to go and see my family doctor. He said I should stay home for a week from work. 15 June 2007 Lack of motivation, fatigue and exhaustion, then constant dizziness and headaches that feel like my head was constantly under pressure. 18 June 2007 I go see the doctor again. They do blood work but nothing conclusive. He says I should stay home another week and that it would pass. 20 June 2007 Nothing changes, except that I have goose bumps all over which I cannot explain. Back to the doctor who says that it is probably an infection. Blood work again, but nothing conclusive. 21 June 2007 Now I have pain around my heart, in addition to the symptoms I already have so that my doctor says I should see a cardiologist. They do an ultrasound an ECG. The cardiologist thinks that I am completely healthy and that the stress test was above average. During the next days my conditions deteriorates. I now have the chills and hot flashes and I feel terrible all over. I can’t get out of bed. I can hardly walk 100 meters and it feels like I have muscle pain in my legs. The pain spreads all over my legs, down to my ankles. The pain does not go away. 25 June 2007 Back to the doctor. Blood test. No findings. My girl-friend is worried and does some research on her own. She thinks it could be Borreliosis. So the doctor does a Borreliosis test, even though the last tick bite I had was more than 5 years ago. Up to that point I had not even considered that it could have been the vaccination. The test arrived and it was negative. 27. June 2007 Since this day I have inner trembling. I feel like an old man, all I can think of is going to bed, I cannot go out, I cannot work. I react to loud noises and bright light. And then I have vision impairments, like a fuzzy TV. Black and white points all over, they are my constant companion. 28. June 2007 Doctor has an X-ray done of my thorax. No findings. I could be happy, they tell me. There are a few hours here and there where I feel better and each time I hope that it is final. 29 June 2007 Doctor says to stay home from work. Blood work. No findings. Girl-friend does some more research and lands here at this site. Shows it to my doctor who then says that it cannot have anything to do with the vaccination. 02 July 2007 Further deterioration of the symptoms. Doctor does not know what to do with me. Sends me to the hospital. The doctors there wanted to do a colonoscopy so I described my symptoms and then they did not do it. My doctor had written abdominal pain. Blood work, and for the first time they determined something unusual. I was asked if I had done a lot of sports recently because that kind of a value was usually found if there was a lot of physical exertion. I said no and asked whether it might have something to do with the pain in my legs. They told me that that was impossible. 03. July 2007 The doctors discussed whether it even made sense for me to stay in the hospital. They decided it did. They drove me to the university clinic where they did an ECG and MRT, no findings. The doctor in charge said it was depression when I said I was afraid it could have something to do with the vaccination. 05. July 2007 They wanted to send me to a psychologist, but the same day I looked at the package insert of the vaccination I had been administered and it said that sometimes there were adverse effects. So I did not go to the psychologists, but since they could not find anything at the hospital they sent me home again. 06. July 2007 Today I was released, so I went to the doctor’s office and asked what I should do next. They indicated that I was only imagining everything and should wait until the adverse effects would recede. I asked when that would be and they could not give me an answer. All I know is that I still have all of the symptoms and that I do not know what to do. |
